Axeon Optics just announced the release of its newest defensive pistol light, the MPL1. The Axeon MPL1 delivers 300 lumens in a lightweight, compact platform featuring ergonomic switches and three different light modes.

The MPL1 helps maximize threat identification, according to Axeon. The lightweight, ultra-compact platform provides a slender option. The powerful flashlight mounts to the accessory rail of the handgun. The MPL1 universally fits most popular handgun models, according to Axeon.

The unit features a master on/off switch just below the rail. The switc prevents accidental power to the light. With the master switch engaged, defensive carriers can ambidextrously activate the dual instant on/off buttons.

A single AAA battery powers the MPL1. It produces 300 lumens for a constant run tie of 30 minutes. The system should work well for home defense, self-defense and concealed carry.
